I recorded this collection of ambient tracks in the past few months, mostly based on improvisations and involving looping bits and layering. This is a fairly new method for me -- all done very much "live" with effects pedals as opposed to my previous drag and drop, post-editing, pushing squares way of working.

The title track "Rask Evighet" was inspired by photographs that Walter Lewis shot in Wistman's Wood on Dartmoor in Devon, UK. It will be used as an underscore for an upcoming multimedia show by the photographer.

This is what Walter says about this project:
"My ambition is to stimulate viewers to a greater emotional alignment with nature so as to underpin a more impactful, sustainable, and embodied response to the ecological challenges that we currently face. Fundamentally the work is about helping to reconnect to the world around us – relearning the ancient wisdom of trees, excelling in their visual riches, and feeling the ecological balance of their woods and forests."

"Clarity" exists in more forms than only here on my profile, as it also forms the basis for a new collaboration with my music friend Dave a.k.a. The Oxford Ambient Collective, who used some of the sounds for his "Voyage To Ultima Thule" album which you can check out here: theoxfordambientcollective.bandcamp.com/album/voyage-to-ultima-thule
